Element K announces alliance with Integrity eLearning
Online Training Leader to Provide Award-Winning Content
for Use with Integrity eLearning's WBT Manager
ROCHESTER, N.Y Element K, a leading provider
of corporate e-learning solutions for business and technology
skills, today announced an alliance with Integrity eLearning,
a leading provider of Learning Management Systems (LMSs).
As a result of the agreement, Element K will provide
online training courseware that operates seamlessly
with Integrity eLearning's flagship LMS product, WBT
ManagerT. Element K offers more than 600 information
technology and business courses designed exclusively
for the Web. Integity's WBT Manager enables users to
organize, deploy and track these courses to manage the
overall Web-based training process.
Element K and Integrity eLearning are early adopters and proponents of the open interoperablity
standards established by the Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee (AICC),
and both companies are adamant about designing their products to AICC guidelines. The AICC
is the primary advocate of a practical standard for communication between a single LMS and
courseware from multiple vendors - something it believes is crucial to the growth and success
of Web-based learning environments. Open standards and Web interoperability have become
increasingly significant issues in the e-learning space and more and more companies around
the world are choosing to adopt them.
"We recognize Integrity's WBT Manager as a solid product that supports the AICC standards,"
said Paul Krause, executive vice president, development and operations at Element K.
"As fellow supporters of open e-learning standards, we look forward to working with
"This strategic alliance is a major milestone and underscores our commitment to open
standards for e-learning," said Dave Fallon, CEO of Integrity eLearning. "We believe
Element K's tremendous depth and breadth of Web-based training content will enable
us to significantly increase our sales of WBT Manager."
Integrity eLearning is a privately owned online learning solutions provider based in
Anaheim Hills, California. It was the first company to develop innovative computer
and web-based training for the messaging middleware industry and has since designed
and developed many custom web-based training solutions in a variety of subject matters.
In the fall of 1999 Integrity released WBT Manager, which later became the world's
first Learning Management System (LMS) to be certified as compliant with the AICC
specification for web-based interoperability between LMS and eLearning content.
