Instructor-Led Training Enhancements
- ILT Scheduling parameters can now be set in the course and lesson definitions
Lesson duration and schedule type can now be set in the lesson definition alone with other parameters to minimize the administrative effort required to create new course sections.
- Training Location now dictionary-driven
The location field in ILT course and lesson sections is now driven by a Training Location dictionary instead of being a free-text field.
- Instructor and Room selectors include a view showing availability.
When selecting an Instructor or a Room (for training location) it is possible to display the current ILT assignments for that Instructor or Room.
Offline Student Module Enhancements
- Offline student module now supported on Home editions of Windows.
The offline student module now includes a built-in web-server instead of requiring IIS or Microsoft Personal Web-Server.
Other Enhancements
- Pre-paid training accounts
A training account can be associated with a . Courses can be set to require that the course cost be subtracted from a hierarchy element's account when a student from that element or its descendants is enrolled. If the training account does not have a sufficient balance for a requested enrollment then enrollment is blocked.
- Pattern matching validation for Login ID, Password, and Reference ID.
A validation pattern can be set for a to enforce desired formats for student and administrator Login ID, Password, and Reference ID. See the Student Hierarchy Element record .
- User-defined text fields for students and administrators have been enhanced
User-defined text fields can now be made required.
They can also be configured to display drop-down lists of values or to validate the user's input against a matching pattern.
