A database conversion script is included in the \utilities\database\scripts directory. A version 1.5 license key is required. If you are upgrading from version 1.3 please see readme150.txt. For a detailed explanation of upgrade procedure see the WBT Manager Installation and Customization Manual (instcust.pdf). During the upgrade process you will be running some conversion utilities which reside in the \utilities\conversion_tools directories. If you encounter an error loading COMCTRL.OCX when starting them you need to install the VB support files from the configuration utility. Run setup.exe from the \utilities\site_configuration directory. ======================================================================== Documentation updates ----------------- Version 1.51 is a minor upgrade. The documentation set has not been updated. Instead, a "changes for version 1.51" section has been added to the System Administrator help file and to the Web Module help pages to explain the changes. Please refer to those sections for explanations of new fields and features. See "151changes.pdf for changes to the manual. A full documentation revision will be available for the next major upgrade (version 1.6). ======================================================================== Changes in 1.51 --------------- NOTE: If you have embedded the definition for a date conversion function in settings.asp (see line-7 documentation in settings.asp) for your database you will need to modify that definition to use yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss instead of mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss (bug fix M2001021401 below) The following changes have been made in version 1.51. M2000121201 - % in course name does not transfer to course menu correctly. M2001011901 - course unit cost will not accept decimal number. M2000112801 - import utility does not map url prefixes properly M2000121801 - Numeric format problems with other locales M2000121101 - "disable after" shows large number for null values. M2000110201 - invalid use of null in austart.asp (problem in conversion from 1.3) M2000121202 - ‘ and " cause errors in course names in lite version M2001021401 - some internal web module date formats are not locale independent M2001022202 - Scripting interface docs say that scripts alow both POST and GET but only allow POST Documentation error. M2001030201 - Setting status to lesson status to "n" deletes STATS entry. M2001032701 - Record locking may be inadequate for counter table (Oracle). Small chance of duplication of internal IDs under unusual circumstances. M2000110301 - status import and manual result entry functions improperly update total time and average score (floating point values are rounded). The manuals are now in Acrobat format. \utilities\conversion_tools Contains various tools for upgrading from a previous version of WBT Manager. \utilities\database Contains utilities and scripts for creating WBT Manager databases. \utilities\maintenance_module Contains the installation set and help file for the new batch maintenance module. \utilities\powered_by_logos Contains a zip file holding the "Powered-By WBT Manager" logo graphics as described in the Installation and Customization manual. \utilities\script_interface_kit Contains the installation set for the WBT Manager External Script Interface Kit. \utilities\site_configuration Contains the site configuration tool described in the Installation and Customization manual. \utilities\student_import_kit Contains the installation set for the WBT Manager Student Import Toolkit. \utilities\standard_web_files Contains standard copies of the web module's user-customizable files in their respective directories. These are files that do not get updated by the installation program if they already exist. \utilities\trouble_shooting Contains instructions and tools for troubleshooting typical web server installation problems. \web_server\application Contains the installation set for the WBT Manager Web-Server Application. ======================================================================== end of file
