Stylesheet shows on page in Netscape.
Date: July 27, 2001
Version affected: v1.50,v1.51
Browsers affected: Netscape 4.x
Symptoms:
Users may occasionally see the contents of the Netscape style-sheet on the student menu page. Refreshing the page draws the menu correctly.
This is caused by a bug in the Netscape browser related to loading "linked" stylesheets.
Correction:
Note: This patch is a temporary work-around until a more "elegant" solution can be included in the next release of WBT Manager. It is recommended that this patch be applied only if your installation exibits the symptoms described above.
This patch file contains updated files which will load the Netscape style sheet into application memory and embed it (instead of linking to it) in the student menu page.
To install the new version:
- Upgrade to version 1.51 of WBT Manager if you have not already done so.
- Unzip the patch file to a temporary directory on the web server.
- Replace global.asa in the WBT Manager virtual directory with the copy included in the patch.
- Replace menu.asp in the ASP subdirectory of the WBT Manager virtual directory with the copy included in the patch.
- Copy reload.asp from the patch to the WBT Manager virtual directory
- Open reload.asp from the website to reset the application.
