More About Database Requirements
WBT Manager has
been tested with Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server
2000, and Oracle Server 8.1.5, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, and
9.2.0. Other DBMSs may be useable but customer
support would be limited.
To use a database with WBT
Manager, the ODBC drivers for the database must
support dynamic recordsets from C++ and ADO recordsets
from Active Server Pages. The database itself must
have support for the following
datatypes.
- Long Integer (32 bits or more)
- Floating Point
- Character (up to 256 characters long
- Long Character (up to 4096
characters long)
- DateTime with resolution
of 1 second or better
* Ansi types for these are: Integer,
Float, Char, VarChar, Long VarChar, and TimeStamp.
* SQL Server types are: Int, Float,
Char, VarChar, Text, and DateTime.
* Oracle types are: Integer, Float,
VarChar2, Long VarChar, and Date.
